Hello and thank you for visiting.  I just wanted to tell you a little about my business and myself to hopefully help you make a decision to hire me to help you design a web site, develop the implementation, integrate a web store, update your web site or help you get your site to the top of the major search engines (my favorite work).

Charleston Web Site Designer Bill Nixon and sonI built my first web site back in 1997 with all of the hopes and dreams that come along with having a site. I hoped, just like most people, that my site would draw hundreds or thousands of people who were just eager for the information that I had to share and possibly enough business to feed my family and me.  After about a year and no visitors, I gave up on that idea and continued working for a company making ends meet with my bi-weekly paycheck.

Then, about 5 years ago, I started another business as a way to get some additional income in my spare time.  I built another web site with the exact same hopes and dreams as before.  "If only people would come to my site, they could find out about what I am offering and they would purchase," I thought.  But no one came at first.  I decided then and there to commit myself to learning why some web sites ranked and some did not.

A pursuit of passion

Many other Web Site Designers won't go to the lengths that I went to figure out how to rank my web site.  They will buy a web site creation tool like Dreamweaver, create some really nice designs, and they are in business.  However, I was always more concerned with getting a site ranked over how pretty the site looked.  Don't get me wrong, design is important, but I decided that you can have the best looking site in the world and if you get zero traffic, then you will get zero dollars from it.

I wanted my web site to actually WORK.  I wanted a site to be like a robot employee who generated warm leads that I could then contact and ultimately sell.  I also wanted my robot employee working 24/7/365 for me for no pay.  It is hard to find an employee like that you know.
